Inner Zion Built by Awareness

Micah 3:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Micah 3 in context

Scripture Focus

10They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Micah 3:10

Biblical Context

Micah 3:10 shows that sacred building done with blood and iniquity reveals an inner state corrupted by violence. True holiness cannot be erected on force or deceit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zion is your inner state of consciousness, the city that is awake to the I AM you truly are. To build Zion with blood is to imagine holiness by force - weaponizing fear, domination, and harm - so the sacred project becomes stained and fragile. Jerusalem in Micah's image represents the mind's governing thoughts; to raise it with iniquity is to decree virtue while clinging to selfish ends, judgment, and separation from others. Neville's psychology teaches that where you place your awareness, there the world forms. If you insist on punishment, guilt, or control, you move from genuine righteousness to counterfeit ritual. The cure is a reversal in imagination: own the fact that the only power is your awareness, and choose states of compassion, justice, and separation from negative patterns. See yourself returning from exile in thought by identifying with I AM, not with the wounded ego; let the inner city rise through love and integrity, and the outer life will follow your true state. When you revise the inner motive, you re-create the outer Zion.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and declare I AM Zion; I build my life with love and justice. Visualize the inner Zion rising, and feel the shift as your thoughts align with this truth.
