Inner Judgment, Outer Reality

Matthew 7:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 7 in context

Scripture Focus

1Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Matthew 7:1-2

Biblical Context

Jesus teaches that judging others invites judgment in return. Our inner attitude molds how we are treated.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the theater of the mind, you do not encounter others; you encounter states of consciousness. To judge another is to weigh your own unreconciled image against the screen of appearances. The 'judge' you condemn is a projection of your inner weather; when you condemn, you strengthen the weather. The law is exact: the measure you mete toward another is the measure returning to you, until your inner recognition shifts. Practice seeing through appearances and blessing what you once condemned, for mercy is the currency of the I AM. As you persist in imagining all as divine, your outer scene bends to reflect the inward mercy. You are not called to approve harm; you are invited to release separation by seeing the other as you would be seen if you woke to your unity. So revise in imagination: I do not judge, I AM only aware, and the world answers from that awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume you are already in a state of mercy toward everyone you meet; revise every critical thought by blessing them and feel the I AM perceiving through them.
