Stones to Sons: Inner Covenant

Matthew 3:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 3 in context

Scripture Focus

9And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Matthew 3:9

Biblical Context

The verse warns against boasting in Abrahamic lineage and asserts that God can raise descendants from stones.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this verse, the 'sons of Abraham' are not a lineage you inherit, but a state you embody. The warning speaks to your inner posture: do not rely on external bloodlines or rituals as proof of worth. God is the I AM within you, the living source who can awaken life from the inert—stones becoming sons by the law of consciousness, not by pedigree. When you imagine, you begin to see that every apparent constraint is simply a belief in separation. The inner covenant is loyalty to the imagination that imagines itself as Father and Mother of all that appears. Your attention, your faith, your daily sense of being are the "stones" before you; remember that God can touch them and bring forth sons from them. Release the need for outward status and align with the inward supply. In such alignment, providence replaces fear, and the doctrine of lineage transforms into the feeling that you are the projection of the I AM, already complete.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, close your eyes, and revise: 'God is my source; these stones of limitation become my sons.' Feel the shift as you imagine consciousness awakening.
