Fear to Faith: Resurrection Within
Matthew 28:4-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 28 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The guards tremble in fear, the angel tells the women not to fear, Jesus is risen, and they are sent to tell the disciples.
Neville's Inner Vision
Fear is not vanquished by bolt and stone; it is dissolved the moment the aware I AM recognizes its own creative power. In this scene, the guards’ trembling and fainting are not history but the old self in you shuddering before a new state of consciousness. The angel speaks the great reversal: fear not, for you seek Jesus, the crucified state of limitation you once believed in. Yet the tomb is empty because the I AM has risen to awareness, just as you would awaken from a dream you no longer need. The command to go tell his disciples that he is risen is spirit’s invitation to fling your attention ahead into Galilee—the place where your new consciousness appears in form. The resurrection is not a distant event but a present realization: you, the I AM, have risen beyond fear into the living presence of peace, purpose, and power. Your imagination has prepared the way; now walk in the conviction that the dawn has already happened within you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and visit the tomb in imagination; feel the emptiness as a sign of risen awareness, then declare 'I am risen' and let the feeling of victory take root for several minutes.
