Dawn of Inner Resurrection
Matthew 28:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 28 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
At dawn, Mary Magdalene and another Mary visit the tomb; an earthquake accompanies the descent of an angel who rolls away the stone, leaving the guards terrified.
Neville's Inner Vision
I tell you, the tomb is not a place but a state of mind. The dawn you witness is your I AM waking within you, the awareness that creates a life from inside out. The earthquake is the shattering of those old fixed meanings that say you are separate from God. The angel descending is your higher self entering your thoughts, rolling away the stone of limitation so you may look inside. When you accept that the stone moves because you have become aware, the tomb becomes empty—no dry bones, only light and possibility. The guards trembling are your old fears that resign themselves to sameness; they vanish as you remember that God is present as I AM. Your true life is the awakening of consciousness that quietly, consistently lives as the resurrection in the daily moment. You do not beg for a miracle; you assume its truth and feel it real, until the outer world merely mirrors your inner lifting.
Practice This Now
Tonight, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and affirm 'I AM awake in the tomb of old thoughts; I roll away the stone and step into my true life.' Then visualize dawn flooding the tomb and the guards dissolving into light.
