Inner Word, Eternal Now
Matthew 24:33-35 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 24 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage says that when these things occur, the time is near; outer conditions will pass, but Jesus’ words endure.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville’s reading, the 'these things' are inner movements of your own consciousness. When you become aware of them and perceive that 'the time is near,' you are not waiting for a future event but stepping into a state that closes the gap between belief and embodiment. 'This generation shall not pass' becomes a declaration that your present state of awareness will not fade until its fruits are seen in your life. 'Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away' translates to: outer appearances may rustle and change, but the enduring Word—the unchanging I AM within you—cannot be undone. Your imagination is the instrument by which this Word creates reality. As you dwell in the feeling that the Word is true now, you align your inner state with its permanence, making the near fulfillment a lived experience rather than a distant prophecy. The sense of time collapses into the present, and the kingdom manifests as you observe your inner convictions becoming your external conditions.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Before sleep, assume the state of 'the Word endures' as your present fact; feel your I AM alive within you and rest in that truth.
