Inner Calling and Choosing

Matthew 22:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 22 in context

Scripture Focus

14For many are called, but few are chosen.
Matthew 22:14

Biblical Context

Many are invited to the feast of life, but only those whose inner state matches the invitation truly belong. The verse draws a line between external invitation and inward alignment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 22:14 speaks in a simple form, yet its meaning runs deep in the language of consciousness. Many are invited by the divine in their present mood; few are actually in a state of readiness that matches the invitation. Called refers to the constant pull of imagination toward a future self; chosen means the inner state is aligned with the reality you seek, not merely the desire to obtain it. The feast is the inner conviction that you are already that which you seek; the gates are your doubt, your habit of lack, which fade when you hold to the image. When you assume I AM-ness as your core, you stop chasing outcomes and begin living from the end. The moment you identify with the state that already possesses what you desire, you are the one chosen; the outer world rearranges to reflect the inner picture. This is a psychology of being: the difference between those who remain unfulfilled and those who rise in fulfillment is the consistency of inner assumption. You are called now; you are chosen now, as you persist in the consciousness that your vocation is already realized.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already chosen now, and sit with that image. Repeat, I am chosen by the I AM for my divine vocation, and feel it real until it becomes your lived sense.
