Biblical Context
In Matthew 20:11-14, workers murmur about others being paid the same penny; the master replies that he chooses to grant mercy as he wills.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the inner market of your mind, the parable exposes a crowd of voices measuring time and worth. The goodman of the house is your I AM self, the unwavering consciousness that dispenses reward not by hours worked but by the sovereign grace of Being. Those who murmur are states of mind clinging to merit and comparison; they fear that another’s ease diminishes their own share. Yet the master says, 'Didst not thou agree with me for a penny?'—a reminder that your true pay does not come from labor but from acceptance of grace. When he adds, 'Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee,' he unveils the law of consciousness: there is only one source of supply, one principle of life, one I AM paying all according to its own generous decree. Your task is to revise in imagination, recognizing you are already paid in full by the one power you serve. Release jealousy, align with grace, and watch the outer day reflect the inward abundance that is always yours.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes; assume you have already received your penny today from the I AM. Feel the relief and rest of mind; repeat, 'I am the grace by which all are paid,' until belief anchors.
