Following the Inner Star

Matthew 2:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 2 in context

Scripture Focus

9When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
Matthew 2:9

Biblical Context

The magi depart after hearing the king, and the star they saw in the east continues before them until it stands over the place where the child is.

Neville's Inner Vision

The star is not an outside light but a movement of consciousness you already possess. The wise men heard an external royal summons and acted, yet their guide comes from within—the persistent pull of the I AM toward a higher awareness. When the king’s decree is heard, you may think outward events govern you, but the star’s path reveals that meaning is seeded in you first and then appears as arrangement and Providence. Departing the palace of limitation, they walk toward the light and the star travels ahead until it stands over the humble scene of realization. In your life, when you acknowledge the inner light before you, the world conforms to that inner direction. The star does not move you; your awareness moves events as you align with the truth you already are. Trust the inner sign, and you will find the fulfillment you seek arrives at the exact moment your I AM declares it so.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM guided by the inner star now.' Imagine it going before you and standing over your present situation, then revise any sense of lack as you feel the truth of your own awareness.
