Biblical Context
Two or three people who agree in prayer align their requests in harmony, and Jesus promises their requests will be granted by the Father; his presence is with them when gathered in his name.
Neville's Inner Vision
View the verse not as a rule about others, but as a revelation of your inner state. When two or three stand in agreement—on earth as touching any thing you ask—you are weaving together distinct aspects of your own consciousness. The Father in heaven answers not through distance or ritual, but through the alignment of awareness within you. The 'two or three' are really two or three facets of your being, now unified, and the phrase 'in my name' signifies operating within the harmony of your I AM. As you maintain that inner unity, the I AM—your essential consciousness—acts as the power that draws your desire into visible form. Christ’s presence among them is the recognition that your imagination holds sovereignty over the scene; you need not chase an outside agent. Do not seek outside; revise the inner conviction until it feels inevitable that your wish is accomplished, because you are one with the I AM. This is not begging but awakening to your native power, a simple act of conscious identification with the completed state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine two or three persons (or you and a partner) agreeing in consciousness on a definite desire; feel the wish already fulfilled in your I AM. Hold that sensation for several minutes, then observe as the outer scene begins to reflect your inner state.
