Biblical Context
Jesus tells of a shepherd who searches for a single lost sheep, illustrating God's care for every part of us. The point: no aspect of our life should perish in consciousness when awakened by the I AM.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the parable not as a tale about an actual flock, but as a psychic image within your own consciousness. The 100 sheep are your many states of awareness; the one that wanders represents a belief in lack, separation, or a forgotten wholeness. When the shepherd—the I AM, your divine self—leaves the ninety-nine to seek the stray, he pictures the inward act of attention turning toward that neglected impression until it is found and held again in the light. Rejoicing is not for a person out there; it is the awakening joy of your own consciousness recognizing that no part of you can perish in consciousness itself. The Father in heaven is the governing Presence you call I AM, and his will is that every part of your being returns to unity. When you affirm this as your present reality, you cease resisting your wholeness and invite the lost aspect back through the felt sense of certainty. Thus the parable becomes a practical map for reclaiming every fragment of your self by imagination and faithful assuming.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM as shepherd; imagine seeking the wandering part of your mind and bringing it back into unity. Feel the reunion now, and declare, 'Not one part shall perish in me.'
