Biblical Context

Jesus warns not to despise one of these little ones. He says their angels in heaven always behold the face of the Father.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville's ear, Matthew 18:10 is a map of consciousness. 'These little ones' are not external children alone but the tender aspects of your own life—intimacy, wonder, and the parts of you that are still learning to recognize the Father. The angels that behold the face of the Father are states of awareness you carry within, watching, guarding, and reflecting the divine presence. Despising any part of yourself blocks the mirror through which God is seen; you cut off the light that returns to you as guidance and mercy. All heaven, in this sense, is a constant reverie of your own I AM, looking at every fragment through the face of the Father. When you accept and cherish all parts as beloved messengers, your inner angels awaken, and you perceive God’s presence everywhere—in another, in your breath, in your compassionate choice. Practice this by assuming you are already the guardian of every little one inside you, and let your awareness behold the Father in all you are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a gentle guardian hovering near your chest—the inner little one. Silently affirm: I am one with the Father; my awareness sees and loves every part of me as an angel watching over me.
