Inner Path to the Kingdom
Matthew 16:24-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus invites his disciples to deny the old self, take up the cross, and follow him. The passage contrasts earthly gain with the life of the inner soul, the kingdom within.
Neville's Inner Vision
To come after me is to shift your identification from the ego self to the I AM within. Denying the self is releasing identification with fear, pride, and lack; taking up the cross is agreeing to the inner discipline of imaginative revision until the feeling of the desired state saturates your being. Following me means letting imagination govern your life rather than outer appearances. Whosoever would save his life in the old state shall lose it; to lose life for my sake is to find the life of God as you. What profit is there in chasing the world while the soul remains asleep? The Son of Man shall come in the glory of the Father with his angels, and the inner revival occurs when you awaken to the kingdom within. Some standing here may not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom — a present reality when you align your inward state with divine government and act from that state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state you desire as already present; feel the kingdom's reality fill you, and then act from that assured inner position.
