The Inner Sign Of The Times
Matthew 16:1-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Pharisees and Sadducees demand a sign from heaven. Jesus rebukes their outward judgment and notes they can read the sky but cannot discern the signs of the times; he offers the sign of Jonah and departs.
Neville's Inner Vision
To those who demand a sign from heaven, know that all signs you perceive outside you are reflections of your interior weather. The evening red sky you call fair weather is only your projected forecast of outer conditions; you are not reading the signs of the times because you have not awakened to who you really are. The sign of the times is not a future omen to chase; it is the instantaneous movement of your own consciousness, the inner weather that precedes events. When you discipline your attention to the I AM within, you discern not by looking outward but by feeling the mood you are imagining. The wicked and adulterous generation is your old self clinging to external evidence rather than recognizing the transformation already at hand—the Jonah sign: death to the old self and a birth into the new. If you realize you are the source of your signs, you will not beg for signs; you will inhabit the sovereign inner realm where reality is conceived and born.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume the I AM is the source of every sign, and feel I am the sign of the times as already true.
