Inner Discernment of False Teachers

Matthew 15:12-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 15 in context

Scripture Focus

12Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Matthew 15:12-14

Biblical Context

Jesus states that anything not planted by the heavenly Father will be uprooted. He urges staying clear of blind guides and not following crowds into error.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the word 'plants' as beliefs and 'the heavenly Father' as the living I AM within you. The disciples' worry over offense is a cue that any thought, teacher, or authority not planted in your divine awareness will be uprooted by the inner light of consciousness. You are not called to attack external structures but to align your mind with what arises from your source. When you encounter a doctrine that clangs against your experience, let it fall away by withdrawing your attention and acknowledging the truth that only what the Father planted can endure. The 'blind leaders' are those who speak from minds not fully awakened to the I AM; their error dissolves when you stand rooted in your own inner certainty. Practice this inward discernment: cultivate a garden in your imagination wherein only divine seeds are watered; prune away every thought not born of God within you, and watch your life reflect the truth you have allowed to take root.

Practice This Now

Practice: Assume the truth, 'I am planted by the Father and only what He planted remains in my mind.' Feel it by imagining a garden in your chest where divine seeds sprout; gently uproot any thought that is not planted by God.
