Inside the Radiant Kingdom
Matthew 13:40-43 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage speaks of a final purge: tares are gathered and burned, and the righteous shine in the kingdom. Neville reads this as inward purification—clearing false beliefs to reveal the true self.
Neville's Inner Vision
All of Matthew 13:40-43 speaks to states of consciousness, not a geographic event. The tares are your unnamed judgments and fears—false images growing in the garden of your mind—and the fire is the cleansing impression of awareness that consumes them when you refuse to feed them with further thought. The end of this world is the passing away of the old identity, the moment you turn your attention from lack and separation to the I AM that you are. The Son of Man and his angels are your higher faculties awakening; they gather out of your kingdom those things that offend and do iniquity—beliefs and habits that do not belong to your true self. Cast into a furnace of fire they become usable energy, and wailing and gnashing of teeth fade as you let go. Then the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of the Father, which is your own Awareness when you affirm and dwell in who you truly are. Hear with the inner ear: this is now.
Practice This Now
Practice: sit quietly and assume the I AM presence. Imagine troubling beliefs as tares being gathered and burned away by your higher self, then see yourself shining like the sun in the kingdom.
