Inner Signs of the Kingdom
Matthew 11:2-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
John sends his disciples asking if Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus answers by pointing to the tangible signs of awakening and blesses those who are not offended by him.
Neville's Inner Vision
John's question from prison is not a historical moment alone; it is a state of consciousness asking for proof. In Neville's inward reading, the prison is the mind held by doubt, and the works of Christ are shifts in awareness: sight restored to the blind is the awakening of perception, the lame walking is movement of the will in alignment, lepers cleansing is release from guilt, deaf ears opening is listening to the quiet truth within, the dead raised is the revival of passion and purpose, and the gospel preached to the poor is the light of possibility entering the humble heart. Jesus does not demand outward miracles but invites John to witness inner changes already taking place where perception is shifted toward I AM. The blessing to those not offended in me is a call to trust the one state of consciousness that Jesus embodies—the I AM that you are. You, too, are asked to acknowledge the signs within as proof that the Kingdom of God is not distant but present as you imaginatively live from the I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume you are the state Jesus describes—see the inner signs as already real, and feel the joy of healing, restoration, and good news in your own life. Repeat the feeling daily until it feels like your true state.
