Inner Threshold of Prophecy
Matthew 11:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse marks a transition, showing that the era of prophets and the Mosaic Law culminates in John. It invites an inner shift of consciousness beyond external ritual.
Neville's Inner Vision
I see Matthew 11:13 as a map of consciousness. The prophets and the law prophesied until John, not as an end in themselves but as a preparation for a turning point in awareness. John represents the inner forerunner—the moment when the I AM begins to speak as your own perception. In you lies the lineage of prophecy and commandment, yet their true meaning is fulfilled when you acknowledge the living Presence, the Christ within. The old dispensation shows what happens when you forget who you are; the moment John arises is the moment you choose not to identify with the old stories and instead stand in the awareness that you are the I AM. When you assume you are the consciousness that fulfilled the prophets, the outer world reorganizes to reflect your inner state. The law and the prophets become a training ground whose purpose is fulfilled in the direct encounter with God as awareness in you.
Practice This Now
Assume the consciousness that you are already the John within—your inner forerunner. Feel the shift as you let the old covenant drop away and settle into the living I AM here and now.
