Matthew 1:7-8

Biblical Context

Matthew 1:7–8 lists a line of kings, symbolizing an inner lineage of states of consciousness rather than literal persons. It invites us to see the mind as a royal house where awareness passes from one state to the next under the I AM.

Neville's Inner Vision

Matthew 1:7–8 presents a lineage of kings not to glorify ancient flesh, but to reveal the inner succession of consciousness. Solomon, Roboam, Abia, Asa, Josaphat, Joram, Ozias mark qualities of awareness that rise and rule within us as we dwell in the I AM. In Neville’s view, the Kingdom of God is already established in the self; a covenant loyalty means remaining faithful to the inner law of your being, regardless of outward appearances. When you refuse to identify with lack or fear and instead recall that you are the I AM, you awaken a continuous procession of inner states—wisdom, authority, justice, and grace—that reflect in your world. The outward seems to follow the tone you set inward; the lineage becomes your present reality as you remain king of your own mind.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, place a hand on your chest, and declare, 'I AM is king of my inner kingdom.' Visualize a throne within, feel unwavering authority, and let this assumption revise any sense of lack for a few minutes.
