Mark 9:4-5

Biblical Context

On the mountain, Moses and Elijah appear with Jesus, and Peter wishes to set up tabernacles. The scene highlights inner states meeting, rather than external form.

Neville's Inner Vision

On the mountain you glimpse the inner drama of your own consciousness: Moses and Elijah appearing with Jesus are not distant guests but states of mind stepping into your awareness. Peter’s impulse to erect three tabernacles is a tender cry to fix an outer scene in time; Neville would remind you that the altar is not three tents but the one who is listening—your I AM. The presence of Moses (the law of structure) and Elijah (the fire of prophecy) joining Jesus (the inner Christ) shows that your mind can convene these powers when you consent to the truth that your imagination fills the scene and your “I Am” is the stage on which all acts occur. When you treat the moment as a fixed event to be worshiped, you liberate nothing; when you realize you are the one imagining, you awaken to the fact that God is your awareness now. The mountaintop is your inner shift of consciousness, where every figure speaks of the promise within you—the fulfilled state you permit by your attention and feeling.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the Presence here now; revise the scene by welcoming Moses and Elijah as inner states within you, and affirm that you are the I AM.
