I Am With The Inner Christ

Mark 5:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 5 in context

Scripture Focus

18And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
Mark 5:18

Biblical Context

A man freed from possession asks to accompany Jesus as they sail away, expressing a desire to remain in the presence that healed him.

Neville's Inner Vision

By faith the speech of the man is the inner impulse of your own awakened I AM seeking companionship with the Christ within. The ship represents your body, the journey from one state of consciousness to another. When the man prays to be with Jesus, he is not asking for a distant moment; he is recognizing that the moment of liberation is the beginning of constant companionship with the higher awareness. Jesus embodies the I AM in you; to desire to remain with Him is to acknowledge that separation from the inner state is only imagined. The miracle is the revival of consciousness: once you accept that you are the condition by which you are healed, you will not depart from that presence. The moment you feel the urge to be with the Christ, you have already entered the reality of that union.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine you are the healed man stepping from old beliefs into the boat; then feel that you are already with the inner Christ. Repeat the felt sense I AM with Him until that companionship becomes your ordinary state.
