Inner Healing Power of Mark 16:18

Mark 16:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 16 in context

Scripture Focus

18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:18

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of a mission where believers are protected from harm and empowered to heal through touch. Healing here is presented as a movement of consciousness, not merely a physical act.

Neville's Inner Vision

Whatever the body calls dangerous, remember it is but an image in your mind. The command to 'take up serpents' and not be harmed, and to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, is not a command to the flesh but to the consciousness that you are. The serpent and the deadly thing are symbols of fear, doubt, and belief in a separate self. When you awaken to the I AM, you discover that you are immune to harm because you dwell in the living Word within. The act of laying hands on the sick becomes an inner act of faith—your imagination, rightly directed, breathes life into appearances. Healing is not the exertion of will over others, but the alignment of your inner state with the truth 'I am,' which changes the outer scene by the law of consciousness. So, when you feel surrounded by danger or illness, remember you are the light of awareness; your recovery for yourself and others stems from the inner conviction that nothing but the divine can truly affect you, and all things respond.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling 'I AM health and protection' for five minutes. Then imagine laying hands on the sick and visualize their recovery as the result of your inner-state alignment.
