Inner Release of Barabbas
Mark 15:6-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
At the feast, Pilate frees one prisoner as the crowd asks. They choose Barabbas over Jesus, and Jesus is delivered to be crucified.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the scene inside your mind: the crowd of thoughts crying for Barabbas, while the inner Pilate questions what you will release. The King of the Jews—the I AM within—sits as the true ruler of your consciousness. If you align with Barabbas—desire, fear, and rebellion—you lend power to the old self; if you cry, 'Crucify him,' you release the old man to die, making room for the new. The 'cross' is the inner conversion: not punishment, but the alchemical death of limitation in favor of a sovereign inner state. This is Judgment and the Kingdom of God being manifested as your present experience. The moment you revise the scene—declare, 'I release Barabbas' and affirm, 'The King within now reigns'—you re-script your reality so that the outer shows the inner decree.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I release Barabbas; the King within now reigns.' Feel the I AM rise in you and notice your world adjust to the new inner state.
