Inward Crown Amid Mockery
Mark 14:65 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
In Mark 14:65, Jesus endures spit, covering his face, and being struck as servants taunt him to prophesy. The incident mirrors the inner testing of the self, where true awareness remains unmoved by outward scorn.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that what you see as the Son exposed to cruelty is your own I AM under a dramatic scene of ridicule. The spit, the blindfold, the blows are symbols, not offenses against a man, but inner movements: fear, self-importance, and the urge to prove or deny what you know about your true nature. When they say, Prophesy, they are pressing your inner voice to reveal its truth; yet that truth is precisely what your consciousness can declare now. The power these events hold is the power you grant them by imagining yourself separate from the I AM. To reinterpret is to revise the scene in consciousness: affirm that you are the witness, the I AM, untouched by the appearances of the crowd. In this light, suffering and humility are states of consciousness you enter or exit by your assumption. Your prophetic self does not cow toward the outer verdict; it radiates from inner awareness, and out of that radiance the outer world discovers its meaning. The mockery becomes a refinement, a dramatic invitation to awaken to your own invincible I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume the I AM is fully present as the scene unfolds, and revise the outcome by mentally declaring I am the witness; these outward acts do not touch my inner sovereignty. Do this for a few minutes, feeling the reality of your inner prophecy.
