Inner Passover Covenant Practice
Mark 14:12-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 14 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus and his disciples celebrate Passover, Jesus identifies a betrayer, and he establishes the bread and cup as symbols of his body and the new covenant before they depart for the Mount of Olives.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take Mark 14:12-26 as a drama of consciousness. The Passover meal is not a historical dinner but an inner rite: a guest-chamber in which the Master is always present is opened by imagination. The warning that one of the twelve will betray me is your recognition that a part of you still clings to fear and separation. To dip with me in the dish is to identify with that old self; yet the Son of Man goes as it is written, signaling the dissolution of the old pattern when you turn your attention to the I AM. The bread that is blessed and the cup of the new testament point to a transformation of perception: you metabolize experience into a living covenant of consciousness. The kingdom of God is not a future event but a present reality you awaken to by willing your awareness into unity with God. Your life becomes the feast you partake in, and betrayal becomes a symbol you release as you embrace the I AM within.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes and enter the inner guest-chamber; bless the bread as 'This is my body' and the cup as 'This is my blood of the new covenant,' then affirm, 'I am the I AM here and now.' Allow any fear of betrayal to dissolve as you sit in unity with God.
