Inner Fig Tree Signals

Mark 13:28-29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 13 in context

Scripture Focus

28Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
Mark 13:28-29

Biblical Context

The text presents outward signs as a signal of an inner season drawing near; when you observe these things, you recognize the fulfillment is at the door.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the fig tree as a living symbol of your inner state. When her branch is tender and puts forth leaves, you are not reading a calendar but recognizing a shift in consciousness. The parable asks you to learn the signs and treat them as causative, for the near-coming summer is the inner moment of your affirmation becoming real. The 'these things' Jesus mentions are inner movements of your own imagination. The outer events you observe are the echo of your inner conviction reaching the point of manifestation. Do not chase time; enter the I AM that sustains you and rest in the assurance that the fulfillment is already near, near at the doors of your awareness. The near-ness is not a schedule but a shift: you align feeling with the state you desire, and the world follows.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the completed state now. Close your eyes, feel the feeling of summer—security, wholeness, gratitude—and repeat, 'I am that I am,' dwelling there for 2–3 minutes.
