Inner Entry: The King Within
Mark 11:7-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The crowd prepares the way with garments and branches, and proclaims Jesus as one who comes in the name of the Lord. The passage presents the coming of God's kingdom as an inner, sovereign reign established within the mind.
Neville's Inner Vision
The gospel scene is a symbol for how you, in present awareness, allow the I AM to sit upon the colt of your mind. The garments you cast on him are the worn-out beliefs and fears you surrender to your higher function; the crowd that goes before and after is the ongoing momentum of your thoughts now praising the truth within. The cry Hosanna is a living shout of 'save now'—you are inviting your own conscious power to act through you. The blessing of the kingdom of our father David points to the ancient, stored potential within you—the lineage of divine kingship available at this moment, not in some distant age. And when they cry 'Hosanna in the highest,' they acknowledge the kingdom ascends in your awareness, from lower to higher mind. So this is not about an event but about your inner sovereignty awakening, the realization that you are the temple and ruler of your world by the I AM.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit a few minutes and imagine the inner king riding into your consciousness; cast away one limiting belief as you place it on the colt, and feel the I AM crown the moment with 'Hosanna'—the kingdom established within.
