Inner Authority in Mark
Mark 11:27-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The leaders question Jesus' authority. He replies with a challenge about John the Baptist, signaling that true authority is discerned from inside and not granted by outward approval.
Neville's Inner Vision
In your inner temple, the chief priests, scribes, and elders are the states of doubt and habit that arise to question your choices. Jesus' reply—let me ask you a question about John—becomes a mirror: authority is not a name given by others but a decree issued by your own I AM. If you say 'from heaven,' you admit you chose belief over evidence; if you say 'of men,' you bow to the crowd. The moment you refuse to declare either, you reveal an inner posture of obedience to a higher fact—your divine nature. The baptism of John becomes your inner baptism, the moment you decide to awaken to the truth you hold within. As you align with heaven in imagination, the outer world answers from that conviction. The scene asks you to cease seeking authority outside and to claim it from the I AM dwelling within. When you live with that inner yes, the external authorities become pliant instruments of your inner purpose.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of inner authority right now. Revise any doubt by declaring, 'I AM the authority within.' Sit with that conviction until it feels real.
