Mark 11:27-30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Leaders corner Jesus in the temple, asking by what authority he acts. He answers with a counter-question about John's baptism, signaling that true authority rests in the source within, not external endorsement.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the scene as a doorway into your own inner temple. Authority is not conferred by priests or scribes but radiates from the I AM within you. Jesus reframes the moment as a test of inner alignment: the baptism of John represents your awakening to divine sonship—the realization that the power you seek is already in you. When doubt speaks from the outside, you do not seek men’s approval; you affirm that your actions spring from your inner consciousness. Heaven, the source of true sanction, is your own awareness; earthly voices merely mirror your current state. So you revise now: you are the authority, the creator of your scene. As you cultivate this truth, external conditions recede, and the world reflects your inner decree. The temple you walk in becomes a living symbol of your consciousness fully awakened, where every decision and event flows from the I AM that you are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and declare quietly: I AM the authority of my life; nothing outside controls my actions. Then imagine John’s baptism as your inner awakening and revise any sense of lack until you feel the truth as your power.
