Jesus enters Jerusalem and visits the temple, looking over all there. When evening comes, he leaves with the twelve toward Bethany.
Neville's Inner Vision
Mark 11:11, seen through Neville's lens, is a map of inner states rather than outer geography. The city and temple are inner places of awareness you inhabit; to enter the temple is to turn attention inward and examine your beliefs, desires, and fears. When 'he looked round about upon all things' you are asked to survey every thought and feeling you have allowed to govern you. The coming eventide is the quiet that follows outer bustle, the moment when you may withdraw from the crowd of appearances. To go out to Bethany with the twelve is to return with the inner company—your twelve faculties of awareness—into a resting, intimate corner of your mind where God, the I AM, can be realized. The drama invites you to practice: test a state, observe what it produces, and revise by assuming the state you desire until you feel its reality. Thus, the kingdom of God becomes not a future event but your present felt reality, born from the choice to honor the I AM within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you stand in your inner temple. Declare the I AM as your present state and dwell there until its felt reality governs your next action.
