Luke 9:1-2

Biblical Context

Jesus gathers the twelve, granting them power to heal the sick and cast out demons. He then sends them to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this brief scene, Luke reveals a truth your soul already knows: power is not outside you but the I AM within you waking to life. The twelve are not a distant band of men; they are states of consciousness you may enter. When Jesus grants power and authority over all devils—that is, over fear and the imagined adversaries of your mind—you are learning to govern your inner atmosphere. The acts of healing and disease curing symbolize the restoration of your own feelings and beliefs. To preach the Kingdom of God is to declare the reign of your awareness, to center attention in the Kingdom, which is not a place but a state of consciousness that heals every discord. The sending is your decision to stand in this inner authority and to witness through your actions that the Kingdom is present here and now. Thus the disciples' mission becomes your daily inward decision: to exercise faith in the I AM, and watch the outer world respond to your inner state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine you are the inner twelve, endowed with power. Feel the I AM within you casting out fear and healing every mental or emotional disturbance, then speak the kingdom into your day by living from that assured state.
