The Sacred Hearing and Abundance

Luke 8:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 8 in context

Scripture Focus

18Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
Luke 8:18

Biblical Context

Luke 8:18 teaches that the manner of hearing determines what you receive. Inner attention to truth expands your reality, while neglect contracts it.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read here as a law of inner perception: the hearing Jesus speaks of is not about mere ears but about the state you entertain within. To him who has a receptive heart, more light of truth is given; to him who withholds belief or clings to the assumption of lack, the little light he thinks he has is withdrawn. The warning 'take heed how ye hear' invites you to revise your inner listening. Your outward circumstances are the echo of your inner attention. When you dwell in the feeling that the good you seek is already yours—the I AM awareness that never lacks—you enter a state in which abundance can audible appear: you will notice opportunities, insights, and responses that were always there but veiled by fear and doubt. The principle is simple: assume the state you desire, feel it as present, and attend to it with unwavering trust that your awareness is the sovereign power. In that act, what you believe you receive becomes your reality, for your inner hearing sets the tempo of your life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: For one minute, close your eyes, affirm 'I hear rightly; the state I seek is mine now,' and rest in the feeling of already possessing it.
