Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Luke 6:27–31 calls you to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and give generously. It asks you to treat others as you would wish to be treated.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your enemies are not out there to oppress you; they are signals from your own state of consciousness asking to be healed. In the I AM you are, every seeming adversary is a facet of your inner being demanding attention and a transformation of how you feel. When you hear 'love your enemies,' do not seek to change the person but to revise the state you inhabit about them. Begin with the assumption that harmony already exists in you as awareness. See hate as a mistaken interpretation that can be corrected by the feeling that you and the other are one. Do good to them, bless them, and pray for them as acts of self-purification, not concessions to others. By offering your cheek or your coat in imagination, you affirm the abundance of your inner Kingdom and demonstrate that your life responds from your I AM. Persist in this practice, and external conditions align with the truth of unity you have assumed.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, imagine the person who upsets you as a living reflection of your own I AM; affirm, 'I love you,' and bless them until that feeling of unity arises. Then, revise the scenario by freely giving or helping them in your inner scene, feeling it real as if it already occurred.
