The Prophet Within You
Luke 4:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Jesus cites that people expect healing to begin at home. A prophet is not accepted in his own country, revealing how our familiar mind resists new truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Luke’s words, 'Physician, heal thyself' is not an external demand but a summons to the state of consciousness you currently inhabit. Your country is your habitual mental atmosphere; when you hear of healing elsewhere, you demand it there first, forgetting that the healer you seek is the I AM within you. No prophet is accepted in his own country because you refuse to give the new thought a seat in your present sense of self. Yet the truth remains: the healing you long for is located in the same consciousness that notices it, in the same moment you decide to inhabit the healed state. When you revise your self-image and feel it real as now, the external scene must align with that inner premise. The miracle is not performed by someone outside you; it is recognized by your inner recognition that you already are what you seek: healed, whole, and free. The Christ within awakens as you choose to inhabit the new state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are already the healed state; keep that feeling for several minutes, letting it saturate your inner weather until it becomes your default sense of self.
