Inner Strife, Kingdom Mindset
Luke 22:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Luke 22:23-24 shows the disciples debating who will betray Jesus and who should be greatest, exposing a human craving for status even in moments of crisis.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville’s register, the scene is not about external betrayal or noble competition among men, but about states of consciousness that each disciple inhabits. When they ask which one will do this thing, and who among them is greatest, they are merely facing the inner movements of ego: the memory of pride, the impulse to be seen, the longing to wear a title as if it altered their essential I AM. The ‘betrayer’ is any part of you that believes you must act from fear in order to preserve a relationship with the divine; the ‘greatest’ is any fragment of consciousness that seeks status as substitute for true relation. The Kingdom of God, however, is not a vote or a rank; it is the awareness you already are. By recognizing that all these dramas occur within your own awareness, you may revise them by assuming the state that already knows humility as the true ruler. When you identify with the I AM that serves and loves, the inner strife dissolves and the inner king arrives.
Practice This Now
Assume the state 'I am the humble servant of all,' and feel it real in the chest. Then notice the room and your thoughts shift from striving for greatness to quiet, unwavering service.
