Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Shepherds in the fields hear that a Savior is born in David's city, and a multitude of angels proclaim God's glory and peace on earth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Luke's field is the theatre of your present consciousness. The shepherds watching by night symbolize a wakeful state attentive to the movements of imagination. When the angel of the Lord appears and the glory of the Lord shines around them, you are shown that the I AM—the one reality you call you—has awakened and is shining through your entire field. Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people, is the inner news that joy is not external fortune but the fruit of inner alignment. Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord, signaling the birth of Christ consciousness within you—a new life arising at the center of your being. The sign, you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger, points to the newborn awareness clothed in simplicity and dependent on the I AM rather than old beliefs. The heavenly host’s cry, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men, shows that when you align with the I AM, heaven and earth harmonize in you. This is your inner birth, here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume, 'I am the Savior born in me today.' Feel the light of the I AM illuminate your field and let peace and goodwill settle in as real.
