Finding Jesus Within
Luke 2:43-45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Mary and Joseph depart, assuming Jesus is with the company, and only discover his absence after a day's journey. The tale hints that true companionship is found in the inner presence rather than outward arrangement.
Neville's Inner Vision
Narratively, the child tarry in Jerusalem and the parents' eyes travel with the caravan, yet a quiet inner truth lingers unseen. In Neville's voice, we interpret this as the I AM remaining still within, beyond the bustle of duty. Jerusalem is the mind-city where thoughts run, attachments to company and plan, and the 'return' with the days fulfilled is the moment of realization that the outer appearance has not touched the inward state. The parents 'knew not' where the Christ within waited, not because God is absent, but because their attention sought Him in places external to consciousness. The line 'they found him not' becomes a teaching: the seeker must revise the assumption that the sense of separation comes from the outer scene. The inner Jesus remains, waiting in the stillness of awareness, until the practitioner acts from the I AM, not the crowd. Your job is to see that the pause is not a mistake but a beckoning to turn from the search outward to the presence within, and to worship there.
Practice This Now
Imaginatively assume the I AM is always with you, even when you feel lost in the crowd. Revise the scene now: feel the Presence within as your true company, and dwell there until Jerusalem becomes your inner sense of peace.
