Luke 2:22-23

Biblical Context

Luke 2:22-23 describes Mary's purification and Jesus' presentation to the Lord, marking him as holy and dedicated. It invites us to see devotion as an inner practice of purification and consecration.

Neville's Inner Vision

Luke 2:22-23 invites you to see purification and presentation as states within, not distant customs. The purification days are moments when you wash away doubt and fear in consciousness, preparing a clean vessel for the I AM to inhabit. Presenting the Christ within is not about temple walls but about acknowledging the holy state that is already yours. 'Openeth the womb' becomes the birth of a new idea—the Christ within that you claim as holy to the Lord, because it radiates the Lord’s presence as your awareness. When you assume that your inner child of awareness is sacred, you revise your entire feeling world. Your imagination acts as the temple where this birth occurs; sensations, memories, and habits bow to the truth that God is your I AM inseparable from you now. Practice days, then, become nightly and morning revisions: assume holiness, feel it real, and let your life reflect the consecrated state you have already embraced.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the Christ within as a newborn presence in your inner temple; declare, 'I am holy to the Lord,' and let this state feel real for a few minutes today.
