Read Luke 2 in context

Scripture Focus

13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 2:13-14

Biblical Context

A heavenly chorus declares glory to God, and announces peace on earth and goodwill toward men.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your scripture is not an event out there; it is the awakening of consciousness. The multitude of the heavenly host is the corporate state you enter when you choose to identify with the I AM. 'Glory to God in the highest' is the inward ascent of attention to the highest within you, awareness itself praising awareness. The phrase 'on earth peace' points to a settled condition of mind you can realize now, not a distant decree. When you establish goodwill toward men, you are simply aligning your heart with the divine nature you already possess. The birth of this chorus happens whenever you persist in the feeling that God is your constant, that your desires are already fulfilled in imagination. The angels announce that your inner world and outer life are one reality, peace and praise flow from the same source. This is the self-existent throne you sit upon, and peace becomes your natural atmosphere as you dwell in that awareness.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, assume you are the host of heaven within. Feel the chorus rise as you repeat 'Glory to God in the highest; on earth peace, good will toward men' until that peace feels real in your body.
