Biblical Context
Luke 16:16 marks a shift from the era of law to the proclamation of the kingdom. It calls each person to press into that kingdom by inner conviction.
Neville's Inner Vision
Luke 16:16 invites us to witness a shift in how reality is born. The law and the prophets were until John; since then, the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. In the Neville mode, the kingdom is not a distant ordinance but a state of consciousness already present within you. The old outer scaffolding yields to the inner reality you choose to inhabit. The I AM—your pure awareness—does not fight law, it simply displaces it by occupying the kingdom as your current feeling. The command to press into it is a gentle invitation to refuse any picture of limitation and to revise your inner assumption until it feels natural. When you imagine yourself as the citizen of this kingdom, your thoughts settle, your tone shifts, and your emotions circulate from peace, justice, and power. Your world then follows from the inner fact you have assumed: you are already where the kingdom reigns. Practice is the steady assumption and the feeling-it-real until the outer becomes a reflection of the inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and dwell in the already-present kingdom by silently affirming, 'I am in the Kingdom of God now.' Feel the peace, power, and justice as if it were your everyday experience; repeat until your outer life reflects the inner state.
