Scripture Focus

54And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
Luke 12:54-56

Biblical Context

Jesus shows that people readily read outer signs yet fail to discern the true time of their inner life. The message invites us to turn attention from weather in the sky to the state of consciousness within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe that the crowd calls a shower when a cloud rises from the west, and heat when the south wind blows, yet they do not discern the time itself. In the language of the I AM, these are not mere weather signs but movements of your inner climate. The westward cloud is a sign you are approaching a threshold in awareness; the southern heat is the stirring of judgment or desire. The failure to discern the time is not an error about weather but a neglect of your present state. You are the one who creates what you see by the states you inhabit. When you live as the intelligent I AM, you stop chasing outward omens and begin to notice the shift inside; you stop judging the moment as separate from your consciousness and realize it is an invitation to align. Discernment of the times is an inner discipline; you can practice by assuming the end state of true discernment.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, imagine a cloud rising in the west within you, then feel the warm south wind of your new understanding, as if the shift has already occurred. Repeat, 'I discern this time; my I AM now governs reality.'
