Biblical Context
Jesus instructs his friends not to fear those who can kill the body, for they can do no more; instead, fear the one who has power over life and death. He points to sparrows and numbered hairs to show God's intimate care, affirming that you are of greater value.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the passage speaks not of two separate fears but of identifications. When you identify with the body and external threats, fear appears as a conditioning of your consciousness. The command to fear the one who has power to cast into hell is a prompt to align with the I AM within rather than with fear itself. The sparrows and the hairs are signs in your own mind of the law that values and sustains you. If God notices a tiny bird and numbers your hairs, then your life is a demonstration of your inner sovereignty—you are the conscious state in which events arise. The truth is that you are not at the mercy of a world; you are the living awareness that creates it. To live fearless, return to your true identity as the I AM, the self that knows, loves, and provides. When you rest in this state, fear loses its claim and your experiences reflect dignity, protection, and a sense of being intricately cared for.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner state: I AM, I fear nothing. Repeat until you feel that awareness settling, then envision the threat dissolving as your life remains cherished and protected.
