Inner Leaven Revealed

Luke 12:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Luke 12 in context

Scripture Focus

1In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Luke 12:1-2

Biblical Context

Jesus warns to beware hypocrisy—the small, hidden pretenses can spread. He also declares that nothing hidden will stay concealed; every motive and truth will be revealed.

Neville's Inner Vision

In Neville's sense, the leaven of hypocrisy is a tiny belief that you must wear masks to be loved. The multitude in the verse mirrors the bustling thoughts within your mind; when you fear exposure, you hide your true I AM behind comforting roles. Yet there is nothing in consciousness that will not be surfaced to awareness; the moment you lend life to a counterfeit feeling, it becomes your lived world. Therefore, when you notice a spark of pretension, do not resist it, revise it by affirming your indivisible nature as I AM. Assume that your inner state already matches truth, and feel that truth as real now. As you persist in that feeling, the outer conditions align with your inner conviction, revealing the hidden beliefs you once took for reality. The revelation is not judgment from without but a transformation within: the parted self merges into integrity as the inner light exposes what once concealed.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume the state of complete honesty within. Declare 'I am the I AM, truth in full expression,' and dwell in that felt truth until doubt dissolves and hidden motives surface as light.
