The Inner Kingdom Unveiled
Luke 11:20-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Luke 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus demonstrates that casting out devils signals the kingdom has come near within you. It speaks of a stronger power overcoming the old guard and taking away its armor and spoils.
Neville's Inner Vision
Luke 11:20-22, interpreted through Neville Goddard, is not a history of battles but a map of inner warfare. The 'finger of God' is the precise touch of awareness—the I AM that looks upon thought. When this awareness rests on the mind, the 'strong man armed'—the stubborn self-image and its defenses—loses grip. A stronger than he, the higher power of imagination aligned with truth, comes upon the scene and disarms him; the armor once trusted is stripped away and the spoils are set free. The kingdom is thus not a distant conquest but a lived transformation of consciousness—the realization that you are the I AM, here and now, capable of commanding your inner life. Deliverance flows from a single act of attention: acknowledge the inner king, revise the old narrative, and feel the new reality as if it already were. As you dwell in that truth, the devils lose their sovereignty and the inner landscape becomes serene, prosperous, and free. Your task is to practice the implied assumption until it unmistakably registers as present experience.
Practice This Now
Practice: in a short sitting, assume the feeling 'I AM the king within' and imagine the finger of God touching your mind, disarming the old fears. Then revise your self-image to align with that I AM and observe the kingdom asserting itself in the next moment.
