Biblical Context
Luke 11:17 teaches that any inner government split by conflict cannot stand. A life built on division collapses, inviting desolation.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this verse, the kingdom you hear spoken of is the kingdom of your own consciousness. When thoughts pull in opposite directions, the inner state cannot endure; desolation follows as a natural consequence of split allegiance. The I AM—your indivisible awareness—must govern all faculties. If you entertain two opposed pictures—health and illness, abundance and lack, certainty and doubt—you are inviting a quiet but ruinous civil war within. The cure is not struggle but alignment: choose one state and dwell there until it is the only one that feels true. Practice the revision technique: declare, with feeling, that the conflicting visions are not the reality, and that your chosen state governs now. Treat every impression as a messenger of that unity, and let the mind’s attention rest on the single, unchanging reality of I AM. As you maintain this unity, the outer world follows in coherence, order, and purpose, flowing as a single current through your days. This is not coercion but communion—the awareness that the kingdom is already established and you are its ruler by consent of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: sit quiet, identify the split you feel, and revise it by stating aloud, 'I AM unified and in control now,' then feel the reality of that unity until it fills your heart.
