Within the scripture, birth is a symbol of inner birth. 'Conceive in thy womb' is an invitation to your own consciousness to receive the idea that you are already the I AM—awareness itself. The name Jesus stands for the saving presence you call forth as your true mind. When the angel says 'behold, thou shalt conceive,' he speaks to you as the thinker, not to a distant mother. Your assumption is the seed; your feeling of certainty is the womb; the spoken or believed 'Jesus' is the sustained state you identify with as healing, deliverance, and redemption. This is prophecy fulfilled in your inner world: the future is conceived now as the vivid idea that you persist in imaginally. As Neville teaches, imagination creates reality: the inner conviction becomes outer circumstance when you inhabit the name and the nature named. So treat this verse as a manual for consciousness: name your future, entertain the inner birth, and dwell in the awareness that you are the I AM, the source of salvation arriving as your realized life.
