Biblical Context
Leviticus 20:7-8 invites self-sanctification and holy living as an inner alignment with the I AM. Holiness is presented as a present state produced by obedience to inner law.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the command to sanctify yourselves is not external ritual but an invitation to rise within your own consciousness into a state called holiness. The word 'LORD your God' speaks to the intimate, I AM that you are aware of; God becomes your self-awareness when you stop identifying with lack and fear and begin to act from the truth of your state. The verses say to keep my statutes and do them; in Neville's sense, to keep is to align thoughts, feelings, and imaginal acts with a law that never changes. Your inner law, the I AM, sanctifies as you repeatedly return to that center, revise any lingering sense of separation, and live in imagination what you affirm in speech. Holiness is not a distant attribute but a present atmosphere you cultivate by choosing, moment after moment, what you accept as true and act accordingly. As you persist, the outer becomes a reflection of the inner law you've conceded as real. The practical result is a life that moves with ease when your consciousness rests in the I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, assume you are already sanctified, and feel the I AM guiding every choice. Revise any fear or limitation until your sense of reality matches that holy state.
