Quiet Boundaries of Consciousness
Leviticus 11:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Leviticus 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse declares that all other four-footed flying creeping things are an abomination unto you— a boundary of what is permitted.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the inner eye, the four feet and the flying creeping thing are not literal creatures but images of thoughts that pretend to be spiritual yet cling to old patterns. Abomination is not judgment from without but a signal in consciousness marking states that do not belong to your inner temple. Your capacity to ascend is not measured by external laws but by the consistency of your inner state; holiness arises when your awareness chooses what you will entertain. The contrast between flight and creeping ground corresponds to the choice between imagination that lifts and the lower habit that lumbers along. To apply this, imagine the I AM as the supreme boundary over every thought; when a supposed spiritual impulse arises that still serves the ego or fear, declare it not for you and gently shift attention to a single, reassuring state of consciousness that feels complete and free. In this revision you are not denying life but aligning it with your true consciousness, and the so-called abomination dissolves in the light of your awareness.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of holiness now. When a lower thought rises, revise it by affirming I AM and redirect attention to wholeness.
