Biblical Context
Verse 5:4 presents a scene where water and wood must be bought, revealing how basic life is treated as a commodity and a sign of hardship.
Neville's Inner Vision
This is an inner economy, not a market event. The verse shows a soul convinced that life’s water and shelter must be paid for, a belief born of lack. In the Neville method, the I AM within you is the true source; your imagination is the instrument by which supply is called forth. To change the scene, revise the inner state: imagine abundance, declare that you are the source of all supply, and feel the wish fulfilled. See water as the living stream of consciousness flowing freely, and wood as shelter built by your ideas energized by desire. When you dwell in the awareness that abundance is your natural state, the apparent transaction dissolves and you discover you have never been at the mercy of price, for all is given by your I AM. Persist in this inward kingdom until the sense of lack fades and faith becomes your felt reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the belief to 'I am the source of all supply.' Then feel water and wood flowing to you from your inner state, as streams of consciousness made real.
