Lamentations 4:11-12

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of a fierce purifying fire that consumes the old foundations of Zion. It signals a dramatic inner reordering, where outward power gives way to a deeper security.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Neville's language, the LORD is the I AM you are. The fury poured out is your own inner storm dissolving every belief in separation. Zion is not a city of bricks but your state of consciousness—an inner sanctuary whose foundations are being consumed so that only the real foundation remains: God, the I AM. When the kings of the earth and the inhabitants of the world would not believe that the adversary could enter, remember that the adversary is your fear, your doubt, your sense of lack invading your quiet center as you awaken to a new possibility. The fire devours the old basis of security, but it also clears room for a new order built on the awareness that you are inseparable from God. The 'gates of Jerusalem' open to your inner sight; the enemy entering is the appearance of circumstance testing your faith. This is not punishment but purification, drawing you to a deeper realization that your imagination is the architect of your world.

Practice This Now

Assume you are the I AM, the city of Zion within you, and feel the fire purify your foundations. Then revise any fear by imagining the gates welcoming the adversary while you remain centered in divine consciousness.
